Hello, I want to run java programs on my iPAQ 3955. I did an "ipkg install sablevm" after installing familiar linux v0.8.1, on my iPAQ and it shows java and java-sablevm exe's in /usr/bin. So I appear to have a viable JVM on the iPAQ. I don't see a "javac" binary on the iPAQ, so........... Now I need to compile the java code on my redhat enterprise linux PC so that it can run on the iPAQ 3955. (am I asking the impossible?) I have downloaded the sablevm and sablevm-classpath tar files. I did a "uname -a" on my iPAQ and it showed "armv5tel", which I believe is the iPAQ architecture. When I do the ./configure for these sablevm and sablevm-classpath packages prior to "make", what arg(s)/options should I give to "configure", so that the resultant "make" creates a sablevm equivalent to "javac" (if there is such a thing), which in turn, will produce ".class" files that will run on my iPAQ armv5tel architecture.
