Hi Mel,

Can't Tomcat be configured to use jikes, instead, like "ant"?

For ant, you would do:
$ ant -Dbuild.compiler=jikes

For Tomcat, I don't know...  [As an aside: jikes is much, much faster
than javac;-)]
