hppa and libffi - SableVM on HP-UX

Hello,

I want to get the SableVM running on HP-UX 11.00, but I have found out that libffi is not supported on HP-UX yet.

Looking at some of the mail lists and the SableVM website, it looks like there may be an early release port of libffi.

On the porting page ( http://sablevm.org/wiki/Porting ), it says that SableVM has been ported to hppa:

hppa (inlined works, libffi not yet merged upstream)

Also, it looks like there is a libffi out there for hppa, looking at this debian mailing list post:

Also, Randolph Chung mentioned that libffi was under an unstable build of Debian during February of last year:

Do I need to completely install Debian on HP-UX in order to complete a build of SableVM?  Is there any way to just get libffi installed on HP-UX without changing my operating system to Debian?
