I don't know xdoclet internal structure, but in fact it seems to be only 
problem with second/next run for every class/entity-name definition, 
because if entity-name is the first tag, hbm is correctly generated (for 
that entity).

Would it be a really big hack to make that modification?

entity-name is commonly used e.g. in systems with change (history) logging.
