generating generics (java 1.5) code

Hi all,

Is there a reason why the XDoclet2 1.0.5 release is stuck with the rather old QDox snapshot of 2005? 
I needed generating Java code with Java generics support, so I tried newer releases of QDox. The latest 1.9 doesn't work out of the box (I didn't investigate further) but QDox 1.8 generated fine code - in my small proof of concept.
Are you aware of any issues impeding the upgrade to newer QDox?
