Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: XDT-1446
    Summary: ValueObject method level exclusion
       Type: Improvement

     Status: Open
   Priority: Minor

 Original Estimate: Unknown
 Time Spent: Unknown
  Remaining: Unknown

    Project: XDoclet
 Components:
             EJB Module
   Versions:
             1.3

   Assignee: Matthias Germann

Environment: All OS, All platforms

Description:
It would be nice to have the ability to rather place the @ejb.value-object match="normal" for example, on the getter which will force xdoclet to only create a getter and not a setter in the VO. And then perhaps a class level tag that is per default, as the current functionality, but for instance when you set:

@ejb.value-object match="normal" propagate="false"

it will allow XDoclet to treat each normal match on a method level and not on a field level.
