Thanks for the suggestion. I've built the newer xjavadoc from CVS, 
which compiled as "xjavadoc-1.5-snapshot.jar". I used this in place of 
the 1.2.3 xjavadoc in xdoclet's classpath, and I still get:

[jmxdoclet] Error parsing File 
/home/kfiles/workspace/madcapjava/src/com/masergy/madcap/schema/Bundle.java:Encountered 
"<" at line 132, column 17.
[jmxdoclet] Was expecting one of:
[jmxdoclet] <IDENTIFIER> ...
[jmxdoclet] "[" ...
[jmxdoclet] "." ...
[jmxdoclet] "(" ...

Is there anything else short of building an entire xdoclet 
distribution from CVS that I can try?
