Xplanner cannot be started

Hi:
I am a bit of xplanner  novice .
When I try to start xplanner from the Tomcat Web Application Manager , it
comes up with an error
message !
  "FAIL -Application at content path /xplanner could not started "

OS: CentOS 5.3
Intalled : JDK 1.6.0_16
               Apache Tomcat 5.5.9
                Mysql         5.0.45
                 xplanner-0.7b7-war
I create the xplanner database as per the instructions in the README.txt
.Copied the xplanner folder to Tomcat 5.5 /webapps directory .When I point
my brower to http://localhost :8080 ,it goes to the Tomcat homepage,but when
I point my brower to http://localhost:8080/xplanner ,it comes up with an
error:

"HTTP Status 404-
type status report
message
description The requested resource () is not avaliable
Apache Tomcat /5.5.9

Please give me a help .  Thanks !
