I'd prefer ibex.org/~$USER which is a common approach.

I agree, but I definitely thing we need a form of newbies list; perhaps
we should create a 'learn' project that is focused around tutorials,
tips, and howtos? ('learn' or 'help' or 'info' or 'discuss'... etc)
