Adam's immediate plans for simplex core

Adam, given that the simplex core has unusable rendering (for the 
existing body of widget work), and is about 1000 times slower, what are 
your plans?

 Do you expect to be able to resolve both thespeed and the accuracy of 
rendering soon (how soon?). It seems obvious that any widget work has to 
use the non-simplex core for now, which guarantees that there will be a 
futher divergence in the two versions of the core.

What say you?
