BTW, is there a FAQ somewhere that explains why people started the
Gentoo project when apt-src already exists?

Not trying to start a flamewar here... obviously Gentoo must do
something that apt-src doesn't do (otherwise people wouldn't have put
so much work into Gentoo)...  I just want to know what it is!
