Copyrights for the widgetset

I was just working on focusable.xwt, and it's now unrecognisable from
David's original.

But the copyright still states David and, theoretically, I can't change it
because it is an evolution of his original code.

So what should it state?  David's name only?  David's name, followed by mine
as a 'maintainer' or 'contributor'?  Or maybe for the widget set, we should
start using 'Copyright (c) 2003, The XWT Foundation' and put people's names
underneath as authors.
