I am running rh9 with all the updates, so glibc = 2.3.2-27.9

I just tried running the java version (xwt-0281.jar) from the command 
line. At first it wouldn't open the jar, but after unzipping & rezipping 
it worked fine - including doing dns lookups.

So it seems to be the linux native version having problems.
