Adam has promised to publish a java version of the shoehorn, but that explicitly does not include the ActiveX shoehorn, which is essential for IE. If you want a personal or open source ActiveX shoehorn, though, it should take you a few days, tops, to create one in VB or whatnot. > - You seem to be working hard to implement native XVT but I think a There's also a Java version, but it's not an applet. > true applet based XVT would be great for many "real-world" > applications. Fortunately, the sources for the engine *are* available, so you could experiment with the Java engine to see what it'd take to make it into an applet. If you really must use an applet, you will also want to look into Thinlet (http://thinlet.sourceforge.net/) > - I tried a make and discovered the attempt to build and use jikes when > all i wanted was the xvt.jar (make JVM). You can already do that. The attached registry file makes it available via right-click, but it's always be possible to do manually. You have to edit the registry file before merging it. -- Emiliano _______________________________________________ users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.xwt.org/listinfo/users
