The annoying part of this is that you get two copies of the reply (one
sent in reply-to-all and one sent directly to you).

It would be cool if mailing list software would notice this and omit
the original poster from the distribution of the reply.

Dammit, I'm definately writing my own mailing list manager after
Nitrogen is done.  Also, I found a solution to the
spam-vs-letting-unsubscribed-users-post -- use a whitelist.  The first
time somebody posts to the list, their message is held and they get a
"ping" email sent to them with a link.  If they click that link
(proving that they're human), their message goes through and they're
added to the ok-to-send list.
