Dammit, I'm definately writing my own mailing list manager after Nitrogen is done. Also, I found a solution to the spam-vs-letting-unsubscribed-users-post -- use a whitelist. The first time somebody posts to the list, their message is held and they get a "ping" email sent to them with a link.
