Initial XWT icon sketches

Okay, I played with ma gimp for a few minutes... check out the pngs here:

The xcfs are also there should you wanna manipulate them with your own gimp.

What struck me as a possibility is that the </> png looks a little like
the top half of an X.  If you had a similar style W underneath it, then
the whole image makes up an X, and you could put 2 coloured boxes into the
< and > and one into the /\ of the W, and you have a rather abstract T. 
Then you have XWT and </> all represented in a fairly simple image that
could scale to a small icon.
