considered to be unstable in all but groups 8 or 9, and even then they're
not guarranteed to remain the same.  Expect there to be bugs and variable
names are prone to change.

The goals of the widget set:
- High quality
- Robust
- Consistency
- Accuracy
- Theme independent widgets (one app, many themes)
- Easy to theme
