I guess, but IMO that's worse. The whole point is to *not* be annoying. This sounds like it would be annoying in a different way. The point of the oxygen animation is actually to reduce the obtrusiveness (it's arguable whether that works), so doing something that specifically draws /more/ attention is the opposite of what is intended. It's not (typically) necessary to draw attention to the changed label; if that is needed, it should certainly be done opt-in by the app. Perhaps a summary of the (relevant part of the) video is in order. Basically, in a user interface, two things can go wrong; it can be boring, and it can be annoying. Note that in this context, "boring" does NOT mean precisely the opposite of flashy; "needlessly repetitive" would be better. In that sense, animations are only needed if they make the interface LESS annoying.
