[kde-artists] New Splash Screen for Amarok

Hey all,

the Amarok team is currently considering to use the version number
"2.3" for our upcoming release, instead of "2.2.3", which we had
originally planned. That's mainly because this release will feature a
number of important changes, including a completely new toolbar that
looks very different from the old one.

In that light, it would be great if we could have a nice looking new
splash screen too, as we have always used a new splash for such major
version bumps.

It's important that the licensing is correct, e.g. we cannot use any
commercial photos that are not Creative Commons licensed. Also, it
would be better not to put the version number itself in the splash
screen itself (the current one doesn't have this either).

Is anyone of you motivated to do this for us? :)


PS:
We have not yet fully decided on this, but the tenor seems to be that
we will go with "2.3". The timing is somewhat tight, because we have a
very short release cycle (6 weeks, and we're about 50% through with
it). Even if we won't do this, we could still use the splash screen
for a later version.
