Note that the qt-components project (see
http://gitorious.org/qt-components/pages/Home ) exists, which aims to
provide styled components (e.g. a non-QWidget push button that looks
less alien) for QML. That's where to look or help for progress on that
front.

Alas, desktop is not the first thing we are looking in that project
either. But that's just because the current people on it are most
interested in Meego styles. So help with the desktop side would be
welcomed.
