what is wrong is the icons that are colored there. (The soolution for that
problem is not trivial and imo is more fundamenta thanm what you might think,
an colides with the fact that for some reason the systemtry ended up beeing
used as a taskbar)
I created those monocomatic icons to bring some more consistency into the
systemtry, to remove the over cluter that exysts in the pannel....
The overwalming feedback I got was extremly positive. Plus its was decided to
do so in cooerdination with our friends at the gnome side in the freedesktop
efort.
Having said that and becouse we like to give fredom to theme creators we made
it theme dependent, meening any theme is free to make the icons as they
please.. turns out that most themes opted to use what we use but... I'm sure
that in a near future new themes will show up using difrent solutions.

as for the ugly coments, well i don't find them ugly. in fact i can't wayt to
simplyfy most of the pannel. less is more.
