[kde-artists] Need artwork/screenshots/cover for the KDE promo booklet

Hi everybody !

I'm Damien and I'm currently helping the promo team on a promotional booklet
for KDE.
About the booklet : "The goal of the booklet is to introduce a wide range of
people to the KDE community and to what we have created. There is a strong
focus on those who barely know Free Software, let alone KDE. They will
probably be most attracted by our software, so that's where the focus lies.
This booklet should give an interesting overview of what we have, and end
with who we are and how you could join - for those interested. It will be
handed out to interested people at trade shows."

The content is done, and the layout will be finished soon. You can take a
look at a first draft here : http://www.tradukt.ch/kde_booklet.pdf. Don't
focus too much on this draft, there will be soon some changes there
following several feedback we had.

I'm sending this mail here because we would need some artwork to put in that
booklet, and some help on the screenshots.

In the current state you can notice that some pages are half filled and some
sidebars are empty which is not so cool... In the second draft that will be
released, we planned to get rid of some of them, and to put text in some
others. But we thought that some artwork might make the all booklet more
appealing, which is essential given the targeted people. We don't know
exactly what we want as artwork, we prefer let you propose what you think is
the best for a promotional booklet like this one. After all, this is your
chosen field ;-)
The goal is not to completely change all the layout (Felix is quite busy and
already spent a lot of time doing it) but rather adding some stuff on empty
spaces. But your feedback is also precious so if you see some little things
that can be improved...

Besides this artwork, we also need a cover for this booklet, and if someone
could provide better screenshots that look more professional than those we
have, it will also be great !

Well, I think I said everything... Ah yes, it will be great to have this
booklet ready for FOSDEM (February 5-6, Brussels) to distribute a few copies
there.
If you need more precisions, don't hesitate to ask.

Is there some people up for the artwork ?

For the cover ?

Any other suggestion is also welcomed of course ;-)
