If you compose the icon at runtime, there is pretty good chance, that the icon /will/ look good with other icon themes as it simply takes the themed icons and puts them together. With own icon the user has to manually overwrite that icon to match the theme. Also it's rather unstandard icon, so even if it was part of Oxygen, it won't be in majority of themes. There were strong voices for both options, so I decided to ship our own icon.
