The latest PNG from the trunk link you provided already has the artifact in the
bottom right if you will observe. The screenshot in the parent directory also
shows this.

Curiously, the lower resolutions provided by my distro do not have the problem.
I am not sure what is happening here. Are the distros responsible for creating
lower resolution versions of the wallpapers that KDE provides? If so, they
apparently fixed the files for the lower resolutions but not the higher ones as
I reported above.

But even if so, the upstream KDE file is indeed faulty. I just confirmed this
once more by opening the 2560x1600 file from trunk using GIMP 2.8.6 that comes
with Kubuntu Saucy.
