this is not at all what i said nor the point of what i said. in fact, i was 
attempting to explain the reality of why this is expressly not the case.

 i understand that you have a particularly jaundiced viewpoint of certain 
organizations due to personal conflicts, but i'd like to ask you to refrain 
from reinterpreting my words in public as if that was what i actually said.

this is not the first time you've done this in recent weeks on this list, 
either. if you have thoughts of your own state them clearly as such and maybe 
even provide some content to go with the opinion. i enjoy reading the 
viewpoints of others and seriously considering their opinions (even when i 
don't agree with them at the time), but that does require an attempt at 
meaningful communication on their part.
