right. and therefore neither tells us anything useful. and beyond 
that, even if there were an exact, utterly reliable measure, it 
really shouldn't matter, because it is subject to change due to 
factors that render it useless for much beyond deciding what to have 
for lunch and hoping that that decision still sounds good when lunch 
has been prepared.
