I do have concerns about freedom in Greece. What troubles me the most,
however, is that unfortunately the US sets an example, and a
precedence, for all countries, Greece not excluded. And it certainly is
not a good one.
What is more, US authorities have made it their business to interfere
with every country in the world. To eavesdrop into every communication
worldwide, with systems like Echelon. Or track personal data they don't
have a right to access. Like personal data of anyone traveling to the
US by airplane, like what food they like, how often and when they
travel, what is their credit card number, if they have reported some
health problem, or any other data they have submitted when booking
their ticket with the airline company. And I could go on to mention
pressure on governments all over the world, Europe not excluded, to
enforce US views and policies. And, guess what, when I was born, we had
a dictatorship in Greece, and you can bet the US government never
supported it. So, you see, less freedom in the US means less freedom in
Europe too. And more bloodshed all over the world. I *am* worried.

P.S. Sorry, I do not have the time to search the Internet for links to
the news I am referring to. My information comes mostly from listening
to the radio, and sources such as local radio stations and broadcasts
of the BBC radio Greek service, and even Voice of America (in greek).
I believe however that finding these news should not prove hard, just
time consuming. IIRC, the news about airline ticket booking system data
going to the US was reported by the BBC, and news about Echelon are all
over the Internet. Concerns about Echelon and how data communications
intercepted by that system were used to aid American companies
competing with European ones were expressed by European Union officials
as well. Links on US foreign policy should be numerous. And Greek
history is not always written in greek, I bet you could find a link for
that too. As always, Google is your friend.
