i wish i understood what you were trying to say, but you offered no actual 
opinion just a clever soundbite. i'm left not understanding what it is you 
disagreed with, just that you didn't agree with it. this is, unfortunately, 
the common response from so many who support the Bush Doctrine these days. i 
struggle to understand why this is the case. perhaps you could help me 
understand ....

is it because those supporters know that the Bush Doctrine is indefensible and 
that it does not stand up to open and honest analysis? if so, then walk away 
from your misguided beliefs right now. you'll respect yourself more in the 
morning.

is it because they believe the Bush Doctrine to be so *obviously* right that 
they shouldn't even have to explain it? well, i think that peace is so 
obviously right that i shouldn't have to explain it either, but i realize 
that not everyone has the benefit of my vantage point and personal history. 
so i try to explain my thoughts and feelings with words that others can agree 
or disagree with. i don't just expect people to automatically agree with me 
because i mock their obviously wrong viewpoints. (there was sarcasm in that 
paragraph somewhere)

is it because they don't care enough to be bothered? is not doing anything and 
just agreeing with the status quo of visciousness and hatred perceived as 
being the survivable stance, and so they just wag their heads in empty 
agreement hoping that it all works out in the end? government and humanity 
are not TV dinners you can pop in the microwave and have come out piping hot 
and nutritious in 5 minutes.

is it because they feel they don't need to explain themselves to the rest of 
the world? that they have an open license to do as they will, including the 
raping of our planet and fellow humans? historically, such elitism is not 
tolerated for long. world powers have been torn down and their people shamed, 
humiliated and broken along with them before. it can be done again.

perhaps there are other reasons that i'm just missing. but i'd really like to 
know, because i'm completely mystified. if the doors are closed to reasoning, 
there are only so many other doors left to choose from.
