The US practices a lot more socialism than it should.  Echos of Franklin 
Roosevelt's attempt to throw out the freedom and the Constitution and 
replace it with a New Deal still linger today.  Not that he was the only 
President who bloated the nanny state.  We do still have the Ponzi scheme* 
called Social Security to deal with.
