That is why I call it Soviet Communism; to distinguish if from real 
Communism (if that actually existed anywhere).

And yes, it was Fascism.  As Susan Sontag said: Communism is just 
Fascism with a human face.

Although there is also the question of what real Fascism (Roman) is.
