if you're going to bash something so unsympathetically, especially on a 
*dicussion* list you may as well provide some supporting reasons that we can 
discuss. =)

and i'll echo Tim on this one: i've got Mandrake on several machines here and 
it works rather well. the only real problem i've had with it thus far is with 
a particular HP printer we have, but that printer doesn't even work very well 
with MS Windows, so i'm not too concerned about that. 9.1 nice and snappy 
(unlike the 8.x series for me), though boot time is still fairly slow. 
fortunately we don't boot computers very often around here =)
