cf my reply to Neil's email to achieve a greater understanding of what i'm 
actually calling for. 

there are simple rules such as "on this list we don't call each other names or 
resort to personal attacks". such rules are unfortunately needed because of 
people like you creating unecessary problems by calling people names and 
resorting to personal attacks. you have chosen to ignore and stomp all over 
those communally agreed upon rules to the detriment of this list, with 
absolutely NO upside to your attacks at all.

Freedom is not absolute, it is bounded. the trick is in keeping the boundaries 
fair, reasonable and as unrestrictive as possible. we have agreed on this 
list that one boundary is in name calling and personal attacks.

if you wish to say that i'm a crazy person, feel free to do so elsewhere. put 
up a webpage entitled What A Crazy Canuck Aaron Seigo Is. of course, you may 
want to be careful about libel, but barring that, hey, go hard! i've been 
called worse by better people than you. doesn't mean i want to hear it in my 
living room, or on this list.

so, i would purport that i am not being hypocritical, but rather exhibiting a 
far greater reasonableness and understanding of the situation than you 
evidently have.

thank you, however, for perceiving me as a voice for freedom os speech. i'm 
glad that my beliefs are not hard to discern.
