CRT monitor and TV at war?

Did that get your attention? I set up a computer in a room directly next to
the room I have a TV in. I noticed when the TV on the screen shakes and lines
go down the screen. I guess it must be from the magnetic field going through
the wall and interfering with the monitor.
Question: other than the visual distortion, is this a problem? I.e. could I be
damaging the CRT tube by exposing it to the magnetic field of its larger
counterpart on the other side of the wall? Any suggestions on how to
eliminate this problem without moving either unit?
