This could become a good thread, or at least a big one. :-) Two reasons not to make CD images available: * CD images are large, and SuSE ships many CDs, so making them available would be taxing on their internet connection. * Selling CDs is one of SuSE's sources of income. To put up a free CD image download service would undercut their own service. Those CD images would probably be used by one or more vendors of cheap CDs. - -- Neil Stevens - [email protected] "I'll believe it when I see it." -- George Walker Bush -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/Hd2if7mnligQOmERAgDqAJ94KL1hOSBl4AJWbQreTdnycBTDvgCfWJp0 cnfa3/AeFYMuzRLlqd4ADNg= =PQOt -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Kde-cafe mailing list - [email protected] http://ofb.biz/lists/listinfo.cgi/kde-cafe DISCLAIMER: The views expressed on this mailinglist are the personal opinions of the author and do not represent OfB.biz: Open for Business, KDE or the author's employer.
