RealONE for Linux does do 9.0 codecs. And to be honest, I hate it when media
players do all-in-one stuff. Fortunately the Linux version of RealONE is
still a media player, but the Windows version has hidden its video frame
within tons of useless other crap.

mplayer has played all my files easily and I rarely need parameters. Sure, a
nice GUI front-end would be nice, but it's nonsense to say its unusable.

www.real.com, has been there at least since the end of March as I have been
using it to watch baseball.
