For that matter, I should add two more points -- (1) OfB.biz is actually pro-KDE and pro-Gnome (in other words, I try to remain somewhat neutral). I use KDE however and am always very pleased with it... it won our Open Choice 2002 award. Still, I'm pratical -- I can like KDE and still see some faults in it, just like I like Mandrake but I don't mind listing all of its faults in a review. (2) In the actual article I assert GNU/Linux's different players are lagging in streaming media. Indeed, show me one player that can use native codecs to play Real Media or Windows Media. There are none yet, other than the old RealPlayer 8. :-\ Helix Player could really benefit KDE, I think. For that matter, Neil (and this is why I'm writing personally now that you've unsubscribed), why not see this as a chance to get your hands on some cool new technology for Noatun? Real is going to be making available lots of stuff for the Helix platform (and already has) and some of it surely will benefit every player that wants to use it. -Tim - -- - --------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy R.
