  Hey, Andreas, we actually agree on something! ;-) The ADL is highly annoying 
at times, and this is one such time. The Passion, from what I hear, is one of 
the most impressively accurate dramatizations of the Passion from the Bible 
ever created. It is inconsequential whether Jews (or any other group) feels 
that what the Bible says is wrong -- The Passion (the movie, that is) could 
not claim to be the most impressively accurate dramatization if it did not 
follow the recorded narrative.

  For that matter, the ADL & Co. can try to pin the holocaust and 
anti-semitism on the Bible all they want, but I think a simple and important 
fact destroys that claim: Nazi Germany didn't just target Jews. That was a 
primary focus, but as things went on the list grew. Many Christians that 
didn't bow down to Nazism and other groups were also killed, and I'd imagine 
many ethnic groups would have been targeted had the Third Reich been allowed 
to actually take over Europe. 

  I won't claim the church isn't guilty of anti-semitism at times, but I don't 
think that gives any real strength to the ADL claim. Technically speaking, if 
you ask a theologically sound Christian who is responsible for Christ's 
death, that person will say "I am."
