I'd like to add quite interesting opinion on Sun, quoting Peter Blackmore 
For people who don't know who is Peter Blackmore:

During his visit to our office, I have asked him about his opinion on Linux 
(and UNIX, and competitors).
And guess what he said?
"Sun is irrelevant. We don't see them [Sun]"
And than:
"Linus is successfully replacing Solaris on Sun servers.  We sell a lot of HP 
Proliant servers with Linux installed"

And I tend to agree with him for now.
Sun is not important. We pay too much attention to Sun & Solaris & Java!
