I guess you have seen this artcile/link already: Sun's Schwartz Speaks Out on Linux, SCO http://lwn.net/Articles/50121/ I'd like to add quite interesting opinion on Sun, quoting Peter Blackmore For people who don't know who is Peter Blackmore: http://www.google.com/search?q=peter%20blackmore&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 During his visit to our office, I have asked him about his opinion on Linux (and UNIX, and competitors). And guess what he said? "Sun is irrelevant. We don't see them [Sun]" And than: "Linus is successfully replacing Solaris on Sun servers. We sell a lot of HP Proliant servers with Linux installed" And I tend to agree with him for now. Sun is not important. We pay too much attention to Sun & Solaris & Java! Have a nice reading! -- Best Regards, Vadim Plessky SVG Icons * BlueSphere Icons 0.3.0 released http://svgicons.sourceforge.net Kde-cafe mailing list - [email protected] http://ofb.biz/lists/listinfo.cgi/kde-cafe DISCLAIMER: The views expressed on this mailinglist are the personal opinions of the author and do not represent OfB.biz: Open for Business, KDE or the author's employer.
