Then make it so. Go fight the code yourself, most of the developers are coding it for themselves, either to get features they lack or just for the shear fun of it. In fact try yourself to look a moment at Linux; how did start, and how did they get where they are? By developing what _they_ thought best....

Why? We _are_ users, what makes non-developer users more interesting? 
Besides that, I disagree completly. I think we have a lot of respect and regard for our uses in KDE, a lot more than most OSS projects. This is one the things that has made KDE the most user-friendly desktop for UNIX, rather than a polical agenda.

Why, who are you competing against?
We are trying make the best software around. The companies are just make the most money. The two doesnt compare and they doesnt compete.
