I think not so, Andreas. We work with them a lot. Network 
Solutions in particular is very hard about letting go of 
domains registered there. OpenSRS, on the other hand, has 
published a paper on how to deal with difficult registrars. 
They also offer a very easy to use web interface to their 
services. I like working with them a lot.
