I like its poetic beauty, but almost never use it for anything other than a few choice passages *everyone* loves in it, such as the 23rd Psalm. > Probably I am wrong: thought everybody is using the New International > Version these days. Somewhat. Some people love the NIV, some people despise it. I use it or the volunteer-created (and public domain World English Bible [WEB]). A lot of people now like the CEV (Contemporary English Version) as well, since it attempts to use even more common English. Hey, they even have "The Message" which updates cultural metaphors and such to modern day ones (it's the only Bible you'll find mentions of automobiles and such in ;-)[1]. -Tim -- [1] Not great for studying, but its rather amusing and also works a sort of a commentary for difficult to understand passages. -- --------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy R.
