i think it falls upon you as a member of the bar to go over there and 
defend him. thus you can assure that his rights are protected 
substantially better than his several hundred thousands of victims 
were. oh, wait, they already have been.

yes, indeed, telling him you're a michigan alum would probably get him 
to sign on the dotted line in blood immediately. of course, if he does 
end up getting executed, he will instantly be surrounded by lawyers for 
all eternity.
