  It did occur to me, since Hussein did have a bunch of doubles. I
didn't think the government planted him, but it is conceivable that they
caught the wrong guy -- and as long as you know you're going to be put
in prison, etc., why not get the spotlight of claiming to be the real
guy?

  At any rate though, I hope that some country that doesn't necessarily
agree with us -- let's say France -- gets to do some tests and can
proclaim him legit. Then no one can wonder any longer.

  The idea that the U.S. Government would fake it doesn't make much
sense. After all, if the real Hussein is still out there, you can bet
he'll be broadcasting that fact very soon. If he does that, it would
take just a matter of days for many to analyze the tape and realize that
the U.S. was lying.
