We explicitely claim no responsibility for binary packages on our download
pages, that KDE provides sources, not binary packages, therefore it's
ridiculous to let binary packages influence our release cycles.

By the way, there were eight working days between the fix in CVS and
Christmas. I'd say that's plenty of time for packagers to integrate a small
bugfix and test it. If that's not sufficient, our packagers are either
understaffed or incompetent. In neither case I'm in favor of depending on
them.
