Today, on the 20th anniversary (to the day) of the Apple Macintosh, I am pleased to unveil the second OfB web site: MacFor.Biz. MacFor.Biz will join the original OfB.biz in providing the latest tech news and alternate OS solutions, except with a focus on Macs rather than Linux and BSD. Starting next week, OfB.biz will be a portal for the original content, which will be on LinuxFor.Biz, as well as MacFor.Biz, turning Open for Business into an even more robust site for information about operating platforms using Open Standards, Open Source and Free Software. Just to be clear: this won't change in the least the content you are use to on Open for Business. MacFor.Biz will simply be a sister site that hopefully will be very complementary. Here's the premier article: Today marks the twentieth anniversary of the Apple Macintosh computer. While the original Mac is certainly meager by today's standards, there are few that would argue against its revolutionary status in the early years of personal computing. In commemoration of that event, today also marks the launch of OfB MacFor.Biz, the new section of Open for Business that will cover the Mac in much the same way OfB covers GNU/Linux and BSD.
