there are certain commonly agreed upon rules that come with the privilege o=

being to alter KDE's code base. for instance, profanity in user visible=20
strings is not acceptable, nor is purposefully committing security flaws=20
(backdoors) or code that causes applications to crash. this is not=20
censorship, it's rules of engagement. Neil stepped over that line=20
purposefully in order to make a statement he believed in; i respect his=20
personal conviction, but KDE is not the venue for such things.

KDE is not a public commons, it is a purposeful project with guidelines. th=
e=20
fact that the project shares its work freely with others and accepts the=20
participation of pretty much anyone who wishes to does not change that fact.
