Thanks to the KDE-Darwin team! I haven't seen too much info on
KDE-Darwin running on Jaguar so I decided to give it a shot and post my
results. Well I haven't exactly had success. I'm running on an iBook
G3 800 640 MB. Some apps launch and run just fine - KCalc. Most,
however, do not. They bounce in the dock a few times and vanish.
Konqueror executes but opens to an empty frame and tells me that it
doesn't have the http IO slaves or the file IO slaves - so I can't do
anything with it. I don't have the August Developer Tools Update
installed - I figure that if I'm using the binaries then I don't need
GCC 3.3, etc. The apps that vanish all have similar crash logs - I've
pasted an example (Kate) at the bottom. That being said I'm very
impressed with the speed of the apps that do load. They are at least
5x faster than the Fink/X11 equivalents - at least that is what I
perceive on my machine. Any ideas on what is wrong?

Thanks
James
