fink dependency?

Hi,
I've just reinstalled MacOSX and then installed the KDE packages from 
kde.opendarwin.org. I haven't installed fink again yet but it looks 
like Kate (and other things as well I guess) depends on something from 
fink.

$ kate
dyld: kate can't open library: /sw/lib/libdl.0.dylib  (No such file or 
directory, errno = 2)
Trace/BPT trap

Is this deliberate in which case the web page ought to say that fink is 
required or could this lib go into kdesupport?
