As far as keyboard handling is concerned, it is indeed true
as I can attest.  I spent several weeks going through the KDE
keyboard handling routines back before Ben Reed and my company
folded and had tons of trouble figuring out a way to make things
work well not using X11.

You two were by far doing the most, but I was helping quite a bit too.
Of course, it was a bit easier when I could just walk over to Ben's
desk and talk to him about things, and my laptop hard drive dying
didn't help (because our company went under, the only replacement
hard drive I could afford was half the size which meant no room :-(
for KDE/mac development).

I agree, though, with your sentiments about the project.  The developers
either have other priorities right now or other technical problems
that preclude them from working on it.  It seems to me that this would
be a good project for someone to pick up and just run with.
