shortcut problems

hello,
i am really new to this list.. I've just compiled after long time spent 
patching the sources, the latest KDE sources got from CVS.
Now that anything seems to be working I have a strange behaviour.. I tried 
with Konsole: it has its own shortcuts set and each time I press a key 
defined in that shortcut an action is done. Example, each time I press the 
"u" key I have a zmodem upload request, that is the action set for the 
ALT-CTRL-U shortcut

of course I can remove all of those shortcut, but is there any way to map 
correctly  the Command, ALT, CTRL keys?
